Job Description:
A family-owned rigging and construction services company is looking for a full-time sales representative to join our growing team which services customers in the greater Cleveland area.

As a Sales Representative of Norris Brothers Co., Inc. you will be the voice, face, and primary contact for our diverse customer base. You must use your exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of our clients. A knowledge of rigging, ironwork, and millwright work is helpful, but we can train. Our Sales personnel are expected to maintain and grow our established customer base as well as create and follow leads to potential new customers. You must be a problem solver, with a passion for calling on customers, building relationships, and selling our complete line of services.

The role requires an extremely reliable and intelligent sales professional with strong communication, negotiation, math aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A college graduate is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers
  • Prospect and qualify new accounts through cold calling efforts
  • Promote newly obtained FBE status and use it to win business
  • Focus on improving and developing sales revenue and margin with existing and new customers
  • Develop and make formal and informal presentation of company services to current and potential clients
  • Offer, follow up, negotiate, and close business with new and existing customers
  • Work with field employees and estimators to create an obtainable job budget
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of quotations, proposals, and bids
  • Demonstrate high-level customer service and professionalism at all times
  • Prepare and execute sales action plans and strategies
  • Abide by company and customer safety guidelines
  • Provide weekly updates to management team regarding leads, new business, and other industry/market conditions
  • Communicate with accounting/finance team on wins and related job budgets
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:
A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and/or a related discipline, or 3-5 years of related industrial or service sales experience

  • Knowledge of rigging, ironwork, and/or millwright work a plus, or strong desire to learn is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all individuals of the organization
  • Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and ability to create and analyze excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record

The role will be responsible for invoicing for all services and projects (rigging, maintenance/repair, specialty industrial construction, equipment rental) and will be supporting a wide range of project managers and their customer base. The role will also be responsible for contacting customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect or negotiate a payment plan.

The role requires an extremely reliable and intelligent accounts receivable professional with strong communication, math aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A college graduate (business, accounting, finance) is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely invoicing for Norris Brothers Co., Inc.
  • Preparation of commercial AIA billings, along with other customer billing portals as required
  • Prepare weekly sales analysis/metrics-Excel skills required
  • Other accounting/operational functions as necessary
  • Issue invoices and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail etc.)
  • Interaction with customers regarding invoicing and collections

Qualifications:
A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline, or 3-5 years of related experience in AR/Collections in the construction sector

  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles a plus, or strong desire to learn is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with sales estimators and project managers
  • Proficient use of general ledger software (Foundation a plus) and ability to create and analyze excel spreadsheets

Job Description:
A family-owned rigging and construction services company is looking for a full-time project manager to join our growing team which services customers in the greater Cleveland area.

The role is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of various types of industrial construction projects, rigging/moving jobs, and customer facility and asset improvement projects. The goal of the Project Manager is to provide comprehensive oversight and management of project level activities and stakeholder relationships which result in timely completion, satisfied customers, and financial outcomes which meet or exceed the initial estimate parameters on a consistent and routine basis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize a safe work environment and manage all internal and external safety requirements
  • Assume primary responsibility for project finances
  • Manage project implementation and track project status
  • Maintain working relationship and clear communication with owner’s representative for each assigned project
  • Bid review and scoping
  • Subcontractor/vendor sourcing, prequalification, scheduling, and communication
  • Facilitate owner and subcontractor change orders
  • Ensure accurate employee time entry for all assigned projects
  • Manage material/equipment procurement and ensure proper job classification
  • Assist in completion of job site requirements: utilities, signage, permitting, etc.
  • Create and update the project schedule
  • Daily coordination and communication with various site superintendents and field stakeholders
  • Routine review and collaboration with daily field reports
  • Negotiate pricing and create new accounts with subcontractors and vendors
  • Coordinate and schedule local permitting and inspection requirements and approvals
  • Remain in close communication with the accounting department and other corporate teams
  • Coordinate project close-out
  • Work with end-user and partners to put in service the post-construction operations and maintenance functions
  • Actively develop new business leads and track status with sales and other corporate teams
  • Compile and deliver monthly job cost reports

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, and/or a related discipline, or 3-5 years of related industrial, facilities, or service project management experience

  • Knowledge of rigging, ironwork, and/or millwright work a plus, or strong desire to learn is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all individuals of the organization
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination items
  • Construction cost estimate experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and ability to create and analyze excel spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and effectively in an extremely fast paced and changing environment
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
